Default Riddle me this Oh wise Bagger Bums...

Both yesterday morn and once again this morning, when I fired up the Ultra. It popped the fuse for the dash/gauges. Had this happen but, once last year. I tried chasing any loose connections/bare wires then. Has anyone run into this problem with their EG/SG/UC??

Radio with subwoofer too much of a draw, could be the disco lights also. Just kidding, sounds like moisture somewhere. Are the gauges engaging when you power up? Does it trip when you hit start?

Funny stuff MB. I think it's popping that fuse when I flip the engine run switch on and the EFI spools up. Can't be certain.I'll have to replace the fuse and watch it this time. Thanks!!

So far as I can tell......I'm not popping that fuse when I turn the ignition on. Doesn't mean it "did NOT" do just that. Still looking for suggestions.

Have you been messing with the handlebar controls? It sounds like you have a wire pinched between the bar and clamp.

Check all the ground connections.Someone already mentioned moisture. Or, a gauge may be defective & fried in a shorting position internally which would take some meter testing to isolate.

The dealer may have to track the gremlin down for you.

I haven't had a single gauge problem Sled. Other then the fuel gauge fogging(pretty much the norm)I'm trying a couple different things. Like having all the accessory switches(OFF) when starting. We'll see if it continues. Thanks for the suggestion.
