A friend of mine has a 2011 Ultra Limited. He let it sit all winter without a battery tender. Wasn't ridden for 2 1/2 months. Finally put a charger on it last week, got it charged and cranked it a couple of times. Waited two days and tried to crank it again. He says the lights come on, stereo works, but when he hits the starter switch, nothing, not even a click. He says the battery is one year old. I told him to check the obvious things, kill switch, corrosion on the battery cables, etc. Maybe a bad battery. Could he have blown a fuse? Anything else he should check? Thanks.

 

I'd start with the battery. It might not be totally done for yet, but it's probably on the way out. Especially if your buddy doesn't change his ways about maintaining it. Doesn't matter how new it is, if its not maintained properly its going to have a much shorter lifespan.

 

He humped that battery to death. A $40 battery tender vs a $100 new battery. Slap him for us! ha ha
