I love my Ohlins and I love me some Howard. Was in Sturgis a year after purchasing my Ohlins and was at RC HD dealership and he happened to look at my bike and didn't like the way it sat and pulled the shocks, grabbed me some new ones more suited for my bike and weight and set me up. Over an hour of time, no charge, just customer service.

I sent over my order form for the 2.5s on Sunday. I also called Howard (on a Sunday!) and we had a nice chat. Great guy. Beyond knowledgeable.

I am considering Ohlins. Is there anything to do with the forks to match the Ohlins rears? Besides monotubes. I think those are junk IMO

Howard can supply fully adjustable Ohlins cartridge inserts I believe! A one-stop shop for both ends!

I think the Ohlins cartridge set up is a 30mm which will only fit the 49mm forks on the 2014 and up tourers and other HD's fitted with the 49mm forks. You can add the new triple trees and the 49mm forks along with the 30mm cartridges on an earlier bike if you desire. I think there are X-Factor 20mm cartridges that MM used to install but I believe he no longer does that, they are about $1200.

Ohlins also offers 25mm cartridges for 41mm forks

I go my #2#2A from Howard the other week. I've only got about 20 miles on them so far but from what I can tell they're worlds better than the stockers. I can't wait to see what some more break-in time will do for them. Pretty happy so far though...

I use to tense up when going over bridge seams, because my stock "shocks" would give you a jolt , not anymore!
I would say that anyone should do this before ANY engine mod, as they make that much difference.
I just put new shocks on my truck a few months ago, and thought it rode good, but the bike is better by far.

Yes I just saw that, I had forgotten about those, thanks you for the reminder. I am about to do a fork service and I am considering the PS monotube along with the FKC Ohlins. I know the Ohlins will be a better performing set up BUT with my front forks and triple trees on my 2008 will they be worth double(or more) the cost? I have not gotten much info on the FKC's for the 41mm fork and I am hesitant to go with the PS on recommendations from guys that have only upgraded from stock as that is usually gonna be a "these are great" response. Yeah they are great.......compared to stock. Have you heard from anyone that may have had both the PS monotubes and the Ohlins FKC in the 41mm forks?
