Default sealed bearing wheel on early bike(1999)

I understand that a newer sealed bearing wheel (at least up to 08) can be made to fit an older timkin style bike. A trusted local indy told me a special sealed bearing with 3/4 inch ID is available, but he wasn't 100% sure it would work. Has anyone done this? What else might I be up against? I want to install the newer wagon wheel style to replace the flat spoke wheels I have.

Thanks for the info. I will check with them. Is the process pretty straight forward?

If you use the later type of wheel they will take 3/4", 1" or 25mm sealed bearings, however there is more to it than that! The bearing housing is larger than the tapered roller wheels, so your rotors and rear pulley will not swap over. When I swapped over on my 1990 bike I used a later swingarm and brake caliper as well.

I changed over my 99 Fatboy to sealed bearings. There was a kit that had bearings and hub sleeve. Forgot the brand but it should be easy to lookup.
