Default Road Glide Wrapped (Pics)

Decided I was going to try vinyl wrapping the Road Glide this winter. The original plan was to wrap the entire bike in a solid color. After tearing everything down and cleaning it all with a water and isopropyl alcohol my buddy and I got started. Took about three hours to wrap one side panel and it did not come out good at all. Had to turn to plan b which was to just do a two tone against the orange paint. Didn't turn out perfect but for my first time doing it I am able to live with it. Probably spent about 40 hours wrapping it over the holidays and used gold pinstripe to cover where the vinyl met the paint. Also replaced the clutch cable since the jacket rubbed off down to the metal cords on the fairing mount nut. I gutted the cat and put a set of Rinehart 4" slip ons on. Also added an air cleaner off a 14 thanks to a forum member here. I had seen a couple of posts on asking about doing this and all I can say about my experience doing it is it is damn hard and takes a ton of patience. I could have never wrapped the whole bike (I don't have that much patience) so plan b worked for me. So if anyone is planning on doing this my advice is sip a cold beer and take your time. I used Avery vinyl wrap and it seemed to be good material.

That looks good. In fact if you didn't say it was a wrap would have thought it was a two tone paint job.

Looks real good.

You spent 40 hrs putting on the grey wrap, good thing you don't do it for a living

Your bike looks sharp! I like the color choice.

I got it from metro restyling online. They had pretty good prices and several different brands
