Looking at a used Mustang seat. Just not sure if I want to chance it because it has 10k miles on it. Is there a point in the life of a seat when the foam is no longer as effective as it used to be??? Don't want to put out the money then have to spend more to have the foam redone.

I put 30K miles on my Street Glide before I traded it in. I had one seat (Mustang touring) on it the whole time. I'm probably going to put the Mustang on my Limited and continue using it for another 30K miles.
At this point (30K), I'm not seeing any deterioration on the seat at all.
Hope this helps...

Sometimes seats get better after they have been broken in - one point to remember is seats are like exhaust systems - what you may like, the person next to you may have another opinion...
If it's a good deal, jump on it, worse case is you find an upholstery guy to redo some of the foam and a new cover - so consider your costs.
I just got a brand new Mustang seat on Ebay for $275 and I have an appointment with my seat guy to alter it to fit my riding position
