Akoury 88 here too. Ordered direct from Akoury's website because I got a couple people together to order multiple. $114.99 for one but if you order more than one the shipping is lowered per helmet and becomes $107.99 per helmet which is about the same price as the ebay link above. Only took 8 calendar days for me to receive them.

A roll cage?
A helmet?...
All these things would make your commute much, much safer....
Life is full of risks, everyday, everywhere.
People decide how much risk they are willing to accept in everything they do...
Some will be willing to accept more risk for various reasons. Comfort, convenience, and/or cost seem to be big reasons most will accept more risk.
Many are content to play the odds, rather than consider the stakes.
In any case, many will not agree with what I consider acceptable risk and I'm sure many take risks I would consider stupid......
I let them make their choices and want them to leave me to make my own....
Every time I read a thread about small helmets or no helmets, numerous people will question the OP's decision and voice their perspective on the safety of their decision.
This is just me sharing my perspective......
PS- I saw a guy on a sportbike Sunday when we were having 20 degree above average temps. He was wearing a top-of-the-line full face helmet. He was also shirtless with a backpack, wearing shorts, and flip flops...
Wouldn't be my choice, but that's his business...

I went down a couple years ago and only had a half helmet that i paid 50 for and i rolled down the street 75'. Not a single scratch on my faCe. Landed on my head when i flew off the bike. I say if they are dot approved then they'll do their job.
