To Dyno or not to dyno
On my 2003 Road King, I recently installed Rinehard 4" slip ons with a stage 1 air cleaner and had the motor remapped. On deceleration I get a little popping, but otherwise the bike runs great. Will a dyno tune eliminate this minor popping. Given the cost of the dyno tune, I want to be sure it is worth the investment.

I have a carb bike which I have had dynoed twice, with different exhausts, and the results are great IMHO, so I am a convert. One of my EFI bikes is bone stock, the other has an aftermarket air filter and muffler, to which I have added a Dobeck tuner. That has been adjusted on the fly, but has improved the way that bike rides significantly. It still pops just a little, but I am very happy with it.
The big difference between the carb and EFI bikes is that my carb bike is my Glide and when we are 2-up I want it to run at it's best, for our combined comfort. The other two are only solo bikes and that last drop of perfection isn't important to me. Will a dyno eliminate that popping? I would expect so, but in my experience the way my bike runs after it's dyno tune is far better than I expected, so there is the real possibility of you getting back a greatly improved ride. Try it!
