I'll add a follow on question - the instructions say you just connect these to the accessory connector and then "Turn on ignition switch and test the
spoiler light operation with taillight and brake light". Does that mean the brake signal is in the accessory connector? I have the wiring diagrams in my shop manual but it seemed easier to type this question than go look it up.
>> EDIT: Oops, I should have searched a little more first. The answer? YES. Found in another thread:
>> White is run/turn
>> Red is brake
>> Black is ground
Is there an adapter that I can get to make these work as turn signals (run/brake/turn)? I already have the run/brake/turn adapter on my bike, so my actual turn signals work as brake lights, too. Wouldn't mind these saddlebag lights doing the same. Would splicing be in order to do this? Or is there a splitter or adapter of some sort that already exists?
>> EDIT #2: I didn't find an adapter to do this, but from looking at the wiring diagrams in the service manual (and the instructions for the
>> Auxiliary Brake Light/Running Light/Turn Signal Conversion Kit-69461-06D) it seems like you would just need to take the white wire (run/turn)
>> out of the ACC connector (or cut it) and then individually splice the white from the left bag into the (I think) violet wire in the rear light
>> connector (7B) DOWNSTREAM from the 69461 kit. Similarly, the right saddlebag's white wire should be spliced into the brown wire in the rear
>> light connector (7B). Don't hold me accountable for the colors... refer to your own Service Manual.
