Never had any issue of buzzin/rattke

 

The Smooth Chrome Button doesn't lock at all, and I never had an issue with anyone opening it. I would think that anyone with a barrel key could open the OEM non-push button lock too, so none of these three properly keep an unauthorized user out.

Thanks to all for the suggestions; might try a couple of them before spending another $30 for yet another push-button release, though at least Weatheredge points out that his doesn't rattle, which is my main concern.

Yeah I'm going to check it out. Hopefully that's if because it's driving me crazy trying to figure this out.

 

I have the same problem on my 2009 EG Ultra Classic. As stated earlier, the buzz goes away when I apply pressure to the top of the smooth button. I will try the O ring trick. Buy the way, I spoke to my local dealer, and that particular mechanic claimed to have never heard of this complaint. I'm really grateful for this forum and the general information I can find on the internet when I have questions about my bike!
