Default Custom gauge face

Has anyone made their own custom gage faces? If so any pointers or tips?

I can't recommend the above gauge face maker. They are too thin, too glossy, and not accurate. Sadly, he butchered mine and had to go back to stock.

So.... Did you get your money back? Did you contact them about the issues you were having? Did they try to make it right? Wondering as I have never used them. I just came across them online and they had tips on removal and install. Thought it would help him.

What were the gauge faces made from: paper, aluminum, something else?
When you say not accurate - did you have a special design done - were the dial numbers not accurate - what was your specific issues?
Thanks

Interesting. Well who ever you choose hopefully it goes easy and stress free. Let us know how everything goes. Kinda have been thinking of doing the same thing to my bike.
Good luck man

Ok, accuracy. The plates lined up, but the areas for specific lights (oil, high beams, etc.) were not centered over the LED, plus the material he used to make the plates were some sort of acrylic and too glossy. Bad shine. When I say too thin, the coloring he used (no idea how) was too thin and all the other LED's shone thru giving a bad back light effect. Next accuracy issue, I sent a specific design that showed red lines for the tachometer. He chose to leave them off for some reason. I believe that the tips are decent, but in retrospect, he is using metal tools to remove the glass. Use plastic body tools, as he chipped my glass.

In the end, I did get my money back. He performed the LED mod on mine as well, and only did a partial job.

I just can't recommend him when there are others that are out there.

This video shows what I'm talking about as for faceplate quality. I'm not saying the faceplate in the video is from this particular vendor, but it's exactly the quality issues I was talking about.

I would have to offer a countering opinion from jester0618. I had them make me a custom from my image choice for my old nomad. They sent me several samples. I thought it was nice and thick. In fact it was so thick that when I opened the package I questioned if it would fit. The lighting and all of that lined up perfectly.
Now this was about 6 years ago so perhaps things have changed since I got mine. Their site has changed also, they used to state that for HD models you had to send them your speedo.
