Thanks for the all the advice guys. I used the dyna beads on my last bike (2007 Nomad) and they worked well although that bike was very hard on tires. It's just the nature of some bikes I guess. I had switched to Cobras and really liked them but they started cupping on the Nomad as well.
sweetlu , neither the 8mm or 10mm valve stems you showed the link to will work from what I see because the hole is about 11.5mm. Has anyone else changed to an angled valve stem and if so what size and where did you get them from?

My limited will be a yr old the 1st of april. I got 13,330 on it now. I keep 40 to 42 lbs of air in the rear and check them once a month or so. Checked the rear for cupping and had none. Checked tread depth with tire gauge and has 5/32 tread left. Might go quick from here on out but i would think 4 more thousand or so. Will see

It works as advertised, or even better. I'm getting more than 15,000 on my rear tires, more than 25,000 on my front.

When your tech dismounts the tire, he will find all the Ride On across the inside of the tire in the tread area. If there is any on the wheel, it rinses off with plain water. Many posters here have even stated they will scrape it out of the old tire and put it in the new one. I've never done that, and don't intend to, as the directions are pretty specific on how many ounces to use based on tire size.

Ride On is a brand. Don't confuse it with other brands on the market, such as Slime or Fix a Flat, that give techs a lot to complain about.

Those look great, but what size would one buy for a stock wheel on a '14 King? Anyone know? The page shows 8mm and 10mm

And to the OP's original thread theme, I am over 10K on my tires, and no cupping with plenty of tread to spare on the stock Dunlops. I run 38 front and 42 rear on mine.

Tire wear can be weird from my experience, the below tire had correct pressures and monitored closely, especially after showing this wear. Bike was ridden as usual and very few loaded tours. The tire mounted before (Dunlop) and after this tire (Michelin) worn normally.

When this was first noticed everything was checked and rechecked, rebalanced and the rear end was also rechecked. The only thing I didn't do was unmount and remount.

Obviously near the end of its life the bike pulled severely and the wear was evenly all the way around on that side with the tread beginning to show at my mark.

This was an Avon Strom 2 Ultra mounted on a FJR. Avon was contacted about this but I never got a reply, emailed twice and called once.

I've notice cupping on many BMW front tires and my FJR would cup a bit with the early Pilot Road's of Michelin's but tire psi was very critical on this bike, low psi in the front and it would feel like a slug. 40psi in the front was common with this bike in order for it to feel normal.

You must be living right. I had to replace the rear on my 13 Limited (bought it Aug 12) with about 9K on it and it was trashed cupped really bad and cords showing. I put on a 2nd Generation American Elite back in Oct 13 and now at 26+K and it still has 7/32 in the center. Replaced my factory front at 15k cupped bad and balding with the
2nd Generation American Elite front and it has 3.5/32 left. I run 40psi rear and 38 front, no cupping on either one.........

Go to Kurveygirl.com. They have a pdf file with all HD wheels and what size valve stem it requires.

Thanks man. That PDF only lists the CVO Kings in the '14 although all of the ones for '13 show as the 11.3mm so I guess they might be the same, but not sure. I'll be at my stealer this weekend, and ask them to be sure.
