Default newer twin cam fit 04 frame?

So looking at big bores, full upgraded motors and stock swaps.

would any twin cam, lets say 2010 and up fit onto my 04 road king frame. 96" 103" 110" 120r"

Starting to wonder cause im finding used 103" motors for around 2k. Would any twin cam bolt up to my 5 speed?

Not without a lot of modifications.

The TC96 and later engines will not bolt up to an earlier transmission, because the oilways between the oil tank and engine are external on TC88s and internal on TC96s. That leaves the possibility of swapping an entire engine/trans unit, which I suspect could prove quite expensive!

A TC88 can economically be modified up to a 98, which along with head work and cams plus a tuner can give a serious boost in performance. It would be worth comparing that cost with a transplant cost.

A well built 95" motor with a good cam , and head work will impress a lot of people.

My 2004 88 puts out 87/96. I Saw a YouTube video showing a stock 103 putting out high 60hp. Don't remember the torque.
