Default Another wrecked Street Glide project

Like a couple other good people on the forum, I have decided to take on the rebuilders challenge. I sold my 06 Electra Glide Police and decided to get the Street Glide since that is what I wanted anyway. I have a couple of pictures of when I got it and a couple of pictures as it sat yesterday at the shop. The fairings are at the painters and the powdercoating should be done soon. I will try to keep it updated as things come together.

It is an 07 with 38k on the clock. They sold me the bike with an unknown miles title. I did not really care since I got a great deal on it. I could literally ride it the day I bought it, all it needed was a battery.

I think the pipes are just coated. They sound great though, so the previous owner may have had the baffles removed. I have not really had a chance to look them over all that much. The bike has been at the shop longer than I had it at the house!

'07 and someone shoehorned the pre-'03 tape deck radio unit into it? Why, God, why?

Default The bike is on the stand!!

Well the bike is on the stand finally. I have my wheels put on, of course I have new forks being powdercoated, as well as some other various pieces. Hopefully my plastics will be here soon so he can hook up the amp to the radio and run the wires for the saddlebag speakers. Its coming together slowly.....

I've gone the rebuild route quite a few times always with great results. You will get the naysayers naggin on the title bit but hey, we know a lot of folks just could not pull off a rebuild. Good for you!
