Default Looking For Recommendations For Suspension Upgrade

Checking this out for a friend, he rides a 2011 CVO Road Glide. Looking to lower the bike about an inch, he is not quite flat footing at stops, and improve overall ride quality. I know the Progressive Mono Tubes and the Drop Ins are very popular with the Softail crowd for up front, but the rear is a whole different animal on a touring bike. What are you guys running? Good experiences, bad experiences, and why would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Lowering is not an upgrade... I'm running Ohlins on the rear and racetech springs with Ricor initiators on the front. All at stock height. Pretty happy but may upgrade the top triple trees from CCE.

If he just needs a little bit - like an inch or less - then I would recommend he just gets the seat reworked. This way he doesn't have to mess with the suspension. Check out MeanCityCycles. They do great work.

Yes on the seat & then some thicker soles on his riding boots. I run Works Steel Trackers DRS/ARS.
