Adjust your air shocks properly before you toss that OEM seat.
I had my air pressure at 15 and now 20 which I think I like 20 better. But it hasn't made any difference with the stock seat. Thanks

Damn Rico, you must be one big boy! My pressure is about 5PSI for my 170 lb frame. Tried mine around the 15PSI mark and Goldilocks said that was waaaaay too hard! Only 7PSI with the 125 lb wife on the back. I know what the manual says, and I swear it's waaaay wrong...

Yep them stock seats on the Custom suck- but all butts are different [sm=signs003.gif]When I had my 05 Custom I put a Mustang touring seat on it before we rode to Sturgis. The Sundowners are good seats too but my butt likes the Mustang a little better.

My bike came stock at 15lbs which my dealer told me 15 for one person and 25 for two. I haven't read the manual for lbs. I took the salesmans word for what to do with the lbs of the shocks. Plus some of my buddies told me the same thing. I had it at 15 when I rode for the first two days and after changing it to 20 I felt itrode much better. I'm 185 at 5'9" so I don't know if I took less air out what that would do, but I'm sure I would still think the stock seat sucks. I'm getting ready to go to my dealer in about an hour to pick up my Sundowner. I'm sure I will like it way better than the stock one. I think mycatchers mitwould be better than that stock seat. It was uncomfortable right from the start. Thanks man

I liked the stock seat, but the wife hated it. After a short conference,I installeda Sundowner seat, adjustable rider backrest, tall sissy bar, and um, a Viberider for the passenger.

Almost forgot- 20 lbs. for two up riding, 15 alone.

Well I just got back from the HD dealer and I bought the Sundowner seat for the RKCustom. First impressoion is it's definilty wider and thicker. The back seat is2" wider and about 2"thicker so I know the misses will be much happier. It really doesn't look that bad either. The stock seat looks better, but IMO it is very uncomfortable. Here's a couple pic's of the new seat on the bike and with the backrest. It's raining right now so I won't be able to test her out until Monday or Tuesday.

I personally like the stock RKCuston seat.

But nothing makes these bikes (or any FL bike) look as cool as a Corbin Hollywood Solo. I'm gonna get another one of those or a HD Brawler Solo for short scootin' days. The HD Badlander style also is a nice look, if ya need a semi 2 up seat.
