Avon grips vs performance machine?

I had a pair of Avon Air Cushion grips. I think the Suntan Lotion may have prematurely wore the texture off. I liked them so much I bought another set to replace the worn out ones. One thing I did notice was when it's cold outside any contact with the metal parts causes hands to get cold.

Good information. I think I'll look into that. Avon grips are worth it as far as I am concerned. Thanks for the heads up.

You're not a cheapskate...you're thrifty. Yes PM's grips are quality and nice look'n, but @ $150/set...yowsa! Avons are awesome and you'll like having the additional $90 to spend on other goodies.

Just bought a set of Avon grips. Haven't installed yet so can't comment on them yet.
But I will say this about PM. Never again. I had a set and the throttle side came loose from the inner sleeve. Got them replaced and the second set did the same thing. I would expect much more for the price. Good thing it didn't happen either time while I was riding. Though the second time it did as I was guiding it down from my jack.

+1 for Kury Kenetic grip my favs. I use to have some PM's with the Renthal rubber. All pics etc I saw they looked black...to my disappointment there Renthal rubber is grey.
