Ohio Bike Week thoughts

I hadn't really thought about tomorrow in particular. But Friday we''l be going out snowmobiling across the fields, while my pet wolf follows along. Well, he follows when not chasing rabbits, and pheasants.
Or when he hops on the back seat for a ride along.
Sorry you only get to ride a motorcycle. I would think that's like eating your favorite food day after day after day after day after... Wouldn't enjoy it as much, IMO.

That is by far the meanest low down most rotten thing I have read all winter!!!! I am also going on a ride just not tomorrow or at least not until the 3 ft. of FUC%&@ snow melts here in Connecticut I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE there is nothing left to do to my bike except stare at it.
Come on down, we'll ride, and I'll buy you a cold one with lunch.

Its ok. I live about 20 minutes from Sandusky so I usually go every year just to check it out. The past 2 or 3 years it has been headquartered at the local Harley dealer. I see this year they are bringing it back to the much larger fairgrounds and they have scheduled way better acts for entertainment. Downtown Sandusky is still home to the partying and drinking if you are into that. Lots of daily destination rides from the area dealers also.

I *existed* in texas for 7 years. I say existed, 'cause it really wasn't living.
I got outta there, just not quick enough.
And where I was at (Pan Handle area, Lubbock, etc) most of the time, we still had snow. I just hate the wide open dirty, ugliness of the state.
I prefer a change of seasons, grass, trees, rivers, lakes, snow, sunshine, and the like.

We go every year, and always have a good time. It's just a couple of hours to ride up there, and hotels are generally pretty cheap. The second weekend is when all the BIG fun happens, and we usually go up on Thursday and stay until Sunday morning.
The fair food, vendors, etc, are all the same as every other rally. Jackyl always performs and puts on a good show. Mad River Harley Davidson usually has stuff going on during the week, with more vendors, some bands, beer tent, etc. Some people seem to "hang out" there. I usually poke my head in, then bail.
There's a Comfort Inn near MRHD that usually has some things going on, as well. It must be fun, because they triple or quadruple their rates during bike week. No thanks . . . LOL!
There used to be a lot going on at the Fairgrounds, then that went away. Apparently, there's a few things going on at the Fairgrounds this year, I'm not sure what, besides a concert or two. They close off downtown for the second weekend, and have a 5hitload of parking space for motorcycles, a bunch of free concerts, vendors, etc. That's where most of the "partying" happens. Typical $5 beers. If you don't like it, you're definitely not required to consume any of them. There's also the Jack Daniel's Barrel House Saloon, where they have more shows, vendors, bars, etc. That's right on the water, a block or so from downtown.
If you're that close, I say why not? I have more fun at OBW than I did at Biketoberfest (the ride down made Biketoberfest worth it). Yeah, there aren't a half million people there, but it's a blast. It has kept us going back for years, and we don't have any plans to change that!
