I actually had this problem before. I fixed it by hooking my battery up backwards. Now, instead of a draw, my bike creates voltage just sitting there. Only 2 small problems now...bike has 5 new reverse gears and no forward, and I can't get the lights to shut off....ever.

Majority of the time only on an exterior wall.
Seems no matter how weather tight you make the exterior
walls, you can always feel a cold draft around the switch / plug in.
So the foam gasket is supposed to help reduce the flow of that
cold air into the house.
But do beware of the 'TRON GOD he'll get you when you ain't looking!

Ive seen electricians put extra insulation on wall switches to conserve energy? looks like a plastic/foam templet that goes behind switch cover?

Are you referring to me about the battery above?
If so then you'd be calling me a liar and that ain't nice.
and the statement about the battery is true!
Bike is 01 flhtci, wrecked 1/11/02. Feb 02 took in the house
stripped and as time and monney (mostly money) would permit
rebuilt and customized it.
That battery sat just likeI said on the back porch until March of this year.
I brought it in, put voltmeter on it and it said 4.89 volts.
I was surprised I thought it would be totally dead.
It charged up good enough to test starting the bike.
With charger turned to boost, it cranked over. Moved bike out of frontroom
(was there for 5 years ..no garage).
Put charger back on and bike started.
re-started bike 2 days later with out the charger.
Bike has sat outside now a month no charger soon as weather clears we will
see what happens.

ShouldI use synthetic rubber pads, or dino rubber pads? Amsoil, Redline, Mobil1, or oh-fishal HD pads? Will the rubber pad void my warranty?

A neighbor came over to look at my RoadKing and said I should put a piece of rubber under the stand when it is parked in the garage. He said that the jiffy stand will slowly drain the battery acting as a ground. Sounds kind of strange to me, but ?????

I was told that same thing when I picked up my RoadKing that is why I changed my jiffy stand from the metal one to a wooden one. If this is not truethen should I change it back.
I actually used a toothpick on mine as a stand. I heard the wood has to come to a point or it will conduct electricity.

I modified my jiffy stand so it's on upside down so it charges my battery when parked.
