Default Water coming from exhaust.

My 2010 flhtk has always had water coming from the mufflers, not just when I startup but continuously as I ride. We have ridden all day through desert like country and it will still have water coming out after 500klms of riding. My dealer told me it doesn't happen so he is no help. Has anyone else experienced this?
The exhaust is stock standard as is the rest of the bike.
Thanks
Phil.

It's a byproduct of the catalytic converter system. Cars do it too.

The process of an internal combustion engine will produce some water, but the exhaust system is usually hot enough to burn it off before you ever see it.

There is absolutely no water in your engine (air cooled vs water cooled), so it has to be coming from the combustion process.

You usually only see this in cold climates though (water vapor from exhaust in winter).

Internal combustion engines have been doing this since they were invented, long before catalytic converters were around.

this may be seen partly as a result of your active exhaust system which we don;t have it the USA.

could be the side which is "off" is making water

odd that it would be seen in a desert ( dry) environment or when the motor is completely warmed.

I'm on the mobile site. Didn't realise you're from Australia. Good catch mkguitar. I was also unaware of the active exhaust system. The later Buells had an active exhaust system, even here in the States. I know when my bike had the stock exhaust it ran so hot there's no way condensation would have stood a chance in there.

are you using only harley water in the crankcase ? regular tap water will cause this all the time. change your crankcase water and replace with jim beam.

Maybe you have a prototype hydrogen powered bike and water is the byproduct

I'm glad to see the guys from the "don't forget to change your air in your tires to spring air” thread could show up here to bust my *****.
