Security TSSM Install Questions

Security TSSM Install Questions
I've been doing some research on installing the security TSSM module on my '12 FLHX that did not come with it.
I found a TSSM module take-off and some key fobs that I've bought, and I have a couple of questions about the install.
1. I read up on the procedure for the bike to 'learn' the new module. I found this document from another thread - https://app.box.com/s/a01de215ed6080294da4
2. Is it ok to use a used TSSM? I'm concerned that there might be something already programed with it that will cause a problem when installing it on a different bike.
3. Will this procedure reset my ECM? The bike has been tuned, and I don't want to lose that...
Thanks for the help!

riders can enter a pin with the left/rt turn buttons to bypass the fob and start the bike
the procedure to program pin is in the owners manual and easy- you do need to have a working recognized fob present when you program your pin.
that's with a stock factory tssm

That's what I'm trying to figure out.
It sounds like yes, you can. As I understand it at the moment, you can install the used module, follow the learn procedure yourself (instructions in my original post) and then ride to the dealer to have the fobs programmed.
Has anyone done this with a used module??

Hoping someone can help with this...
I just installed a TSSM that I bought on ebay and I can't get the bike to enter the password learning mode. The bike is not reacting in the way that the manual says it should. When I turn the ignition switch on, the turn signals flash as though the system is armed and the fob is not present.
I can't get eh security light to stay lit and enter the learning mode. Anyone had this before????
Thanks.

I think I'm SOL here, but if anyone can help, that would be great.
I'm at the point where I'm just guessing codes and hoping for the best...
So far I've tried:
11111
12345
77777
31313
Any other suggestions that might be a "stock" programmed PIN???
