My youngest brother went thru exactly what you are (Ex wife, 3 kids to pay for) but he did the right thing and took care of his obligations first. (just what you're doing) He ended up riding metric stuff during this time and I was proud to ride with him. When others brag or show you pics of their Harley, you show them pics of your beautiful kids! The toys will come and go but family is forever.

well for me i have worked ever since i got out of school. made some good choices and smart moves for my career. nuclear industry has treated me well. 27 yr old and been in six figures for cpl yrs. work hard, play hard. keep your sh*t together. at the current set-up i'll be able to comfortably retire @ 55

I bought an 8 year old Garage Queen with only 2k miles, and haven't had any problems with it.
One reason I finally have disposable income is I don't trade cars in until they are old and decrepit. I haven't been that smart about financial advice, but The radio show Bruce Williams used to say "Never invest in a depreciating asset."
That is one piece of advice I have listened to.
