A vacuum as suggested works great. I've done several sets.
it came out during shipping from another member did a swap long for short.

Jealous of that old drill press. They don't make em like that any more. Mines old but it is a bench model so no screw table adjuster.

I'm luck enough to have a mill/drill and was able to change the oil like 60wt did it. Works fine.

This. If you have a Harbor Freight close this is what I used and worked like a champ:

Turn the shocks upside down in your vice when extracting and right side up when filling. I had the connectors from a compressor kit to hook everything up. I just installed air ride on my bike but can't test it out yet because of the snow.
