Well I'm glad to see someone actually has this motor. I went to a dealer this past weekend and seen a SG with this motor and Rhinehart exhaust on it. Looked good and sounded gr8 to me. I find it slightly comical that everyone wants to compare the numbers to a 103 with a stage 4. To me, and if I'm way off here, someone stop me. But a facyory/dealer installed 120ST then modded to the extent of a stage 4 103 would have to produce more giddyupandgo than a stage 4 103 right?? Either way, glad to see someone else got it in a touring bike. If the bike is still sitting at the dealer when my check arrives I may have to check it out. Lol my only question is why they didn't water cool it? I mean the new 110'' is water cooled right?

Most likely because there would be a lot more to buy if you had to convert your oil-cooled bike to a wet-head bike....

update on my scoot.... I decided on the 1074X Thunder Header and went with a Power Vision and Target Tune module from FM setup by Jamie Long. Runs like a completely different animal now compared to the basic download HD puts in the ECM for it.

Loving it!

True. Didn't consider that. LOL. Gr8 to hear about the upgrades. My question is, with what you have upgraded, does that lose any warantee(sp?)?

d

Warranty on the 120ST is one year.... never broke into the motor so it's all good. If any issues arise, I'm good to go...

I put the 120R in a 13 Street Bob and a 120ST in a 15 Freewheeler.

The 120R and ST have only a few differences. The R has a 58, 62 or 64mm throttle body. The ST 58mm only. The ST cam is a mild grind and the R has the highest lift and most overlap of any HD cam. Both are 10.5:1 compression.

The R is a race tune and the ST has a emissions compliant street legal tune. Both have all the other internal components identical.

Of course you can play with the size of injectors on the R also. The R can take a SE 12.5 : 1 piston. With the baddest set up the R can go to 150 hp and torque.

I have 2,100 on the Street Bob and 1,100 on the trike. HD would not "authorize" the motor for the trike. I usually don't name a bike. But I am putting red lettering across the trunk that says UNAUTHORIZED.

VERY nice numbers out of that 120ST you got there. I wouldn't know how to act with that much power. Kinda pointless question, but if you can manage to keep your hand out of the throttle, you get decent fuel mileage?
