Do you see the new Screaming Eagle 120 ST motor?

120st
I actually bought a 15RGS w/ the 120ST on my way back from Sturgis on 8 Aug from Deluxe HD out of Gillette,, WY. It was sitting there... wife said to buy it... so I did! I kept my 14SGS as to not lose my @$$ on a trade.
I have 1179 miles on it now and going in for it's 1k service on Sunday. Breaking it in sucks... as does any break-in. The power on the bottom below 3000rpms is very evident and makes you hang on. After the first 500 miles, I pushed it to 4000rpms a bit to see and feel the difference.... WOW! Over 3000rpms there is a HUGE pull and becomes a different beast.
The SE high flow exhaust is.. well... ok. I am used to my V/H Prop Pipe.. so the sound is not there by a long shot... but it's better than stock. The 2.25" inlet NightSticks are SuperTrapps in a nutshell. Each slipon holds 10 discs and closed end caps. It runs great, but sound... eh... So I did a little research and found the SuperTrapp Race Cones are the equivalent of 10 discs... so I swapped them in and got much of the sound back I was looking for and no loss of power on bottom or top end. Unfortunately, you cannot swap ANY other slipon with the SE header since it's a full 2" pipe ( including the crossover tube) and flared out to 2.25" at the slip-on connection point... all others are only 1.75". The SE header is fully equipped with wideband O2 ports as well for the added tuning capabilities.
As far as heat goes... I cannot tell a difference when in heavy traffic... feels the same as my 103 on the 14SGS. The 120ST is a bit 'noisy' compared to the 103 and have been told the valve train ( cams/lifters ) is the culprit and I may just have to get used to it.... we will see.
All in all... VERY happy with it... I just can wait to get a tune into since it comes with a base map download only... so throttle lag is there and a few minor 'dead spots' are noticed every now and then.
Still debating on swapping out the exhaust for something else that I like better for sound...just hard to justify pulling a $1300 exhaust for another $1300 exhaust... lol!

I plan on a dyno tune... just gotta get my head wrapped around the exhaust change first before I shell out $1k for a tuner and tune...
I like V/H... thinkin PowerDuals and OS450's. I have 2-1 Pro Pipe on my 14SGS, but thinkin of stickin with duals on this one... I know the performance gains are as good, but.....
