Hey, Thanks for posting this!!! My 2002 RKC sqealed louder than a greased pig(pun intended), but so far my 2006 Ultra has very little if no squeal (hopefully it stays that way, cause the 02 was very annoying and sometimes prettyembarrassing!!!!) Nice to know that if my Ultra starts to squeal they will take care of it. My 02 started to get real bad at around the 10,000 mile mark, so hopefully I'll make it past there this summer on the ultra without to much noise!

I have taken my bike back to the dealer several times for this and all they did was spray some brake cleaner on the roters; well this lasted about 20 minutes and the squeal came back. After seeing this service bulletin I asked again and the dealer has me scheduled for a rotor swap. Thanks to this forum again.

When I took my bike ('05 rk custom)in last season, they put some type of foam in the chrome dome things on the inner part of the rotors. Problem seems to be fix. Although from time to time I hear a sqeal. I will take my bike in and have them switch the rotors. I hope that this wont have an adverse affect and cause them to sqeal more. We shall see.

I installed front & rear floating rotors on my 07, that when I noticed the front rotors were reversed. At first I thought the factory/dealer put the front wheel on backwards but the rotation of the tire was correct, so I assumed the rotors were installed backwards at the factory. So per the Brake Service bulletin M-1192A they were installed correctly at the factory for my 07 model.

I can see why most dealer service depts don't want to mess with this for the .4 tenths of a hour the factory will pay them.Try to do the job in 26 minutes [:@]
