Best advice I can give is shop around and don't get in a hurry. Not sure what the weather is like where you live but it's winter time here. No one pays MSRP in the winter time in these parts of the country.

as always your best deal comes with cash or bring your own financing.

no trade, no muss no fuss.

if you sell your old bike yourself, it may take awhile, but you can use that time to transfer over trim and accessories.
and you'll get your best value

Most dealers will give you a better deal if you let then handle the financing. They get a commission on the financing from the lender. But check around to see what you can get for an interest rate beforehand. Then tell the dealer you'll finance thru them if they can match or beat the best rate you found. Credit Unions tend to have the best rates. I have almost always got dealers (cars and bikes) to match and sometimes beat the rate from my credit union.

Yeah,

It's raining pretty good here. I'm thinking I would get more of a deal on a limited because street glides are their best sellers (touring)

Thanks for the info. Keep em comin!

Maybe look at the Ultra Classic instead of the Limited, no wet head!! I bet you can buy the Ultra Classic cheaper than the SGS. If they have any.

Why would anyone trade in your bike? They are going to screw you hard but they have to be able to turn it around for a profit.

You cant be that anxious....

You will get a better deal on an Ultra. my sales guy was willing to drop $2500 no questions asked if I would have taken that over my SGS. Street Glides/Specials are HD's #1 seller. That's why they won't move more than $1k maybe $1.5k at best.

Shopping around they will give you $15-16K for your 13 SG. I traded my SG and crotch rocket in on a RGS. Yes I could have waited and probably sold on CL, but I'm impatient, and saved on taxes, I guess. LOL Anyways, just waiting on stereo upgrades to be installed, then she'll be home :-)
