Default Tour Pak Top Rack Reinforcing Washers?

Seem to remember reading about reinforcing washers for the Rack that mounts to the top of the Tour Pak. Idea being to "spread out" the weight on the mounting points a little.

I thought about just using some Chrome or Stainless Steel washers from the hardware store, but before I do that, wanted to see if someone made a product specifically for this.

Can't seem to find anything now though.

Anyone point me to a part # or supplier.

Thanks

I don't recall seeing mention of them. FWIW I've had the rack on several scooters and have never had a problem

not had a problem, but I keep the weight way down..

usually the bag on it is for down sleeping bag, light jacket and a few maps.

more of a concern to me is stress on the hinges if trying to open the TP with a bag on the rack.

You can use a large washer on the inside, but I've not seen one used on top if that's what you mean. I use large ones because they also hold up my tour pack organizer.

Polish some stainless fender washers and it'll add a little bling to your ride...

I'm not an engineer, so maybe this is an uniformed question. How would putting a large washer on the inside aid in distrbuting load on the rack?

Thanks all, found this from Kury. Says it's made for a Honda, but don't know why it wouldn't work on our Harley's?
