Good report. Thanks for making we aware of a potentially serious problem I never knew existed. I'll be looking to swap out my extensions.

Obvious as it seems now, I never thought of checking ground clearance with a broom handle (or level) like that. Downright practical, and I will now go check the new highway pegs on my Triumph.

I literally say in the second sentence of the original post,

"I'm aware that different heights and chassis have an effect on this but this is my experience........."

I'm only pointing out an issue for 'some' bikes and especially mine. I love the idea of any product that moved the boards out and I'm not cutting down any vendor/manufacturer. Just making fellow riders aware of an issue.

No, not offensive at all. Facts are exactly what we need to make the best decision. I'm glad that there are those that have no issue with this and that adding spacers between the frame and floor board supports is still a good option if that style is preferred.
