I installed the J&M 7.25 speakers today and I am very impressed. Makes me wonder if an amp is even necessary. I still hear some distortion close to full volume. Would an amp help clear that up? I guess trying it out on the highway would help but Im in Wisconsin 12F tonight. I appreciate any input you have, Thanks Bryan

 

Amp and new head unit!!!

 

The amp makes a huge difference. You'll get double the volume before you reach the distortion. Sadly, at 75 mph nothing will ever sound as clear as it does in a car or in your house but it's way better than the stock set-up.

 

An amp is a must for anyone wanting serious sound. It makes all the difference in the world!
