Default Help with V&H True Duals

I am in the process of installing the V&H True Duals on my 07 Ultra. I am having a little trouble with the mounting post that mounts to the bracket on the starter. I know the nut is supposed to face the right side, but I am not seeing how this post goes through the clamp on the rear head pipe. Does anyone have any close up pictures, or a good explanation? The images on the V&H site are too dark to get detail.

Thanks for any help!

yeah, i found the instructions with the v&h to be a pita. the pictures were very dark and hard to make out. finally, i just gave up and threw the directions away and did what i thought would work. does this help? the right angle support goes under the clamp too.

It has been an awfully long time ago, but as I recall, I had to grind a little bit of material from the bracket to get it just right. Used my Dremel tool and dabbed some black paint on. It helps to have a second pair of hands to get the rear header on! Keep the faith and be patient....you'll be the ultimate winner.

This helps a lot! I thought I was losing my mind with this thing.. I didn't think about flipping it around. If it's still giving trouble, I'll try the dremel.

Thanks and Keep 'em coming if ya got em!

I also had to do the Dremel trick with the starter bracket when I installed my Big Shot Duels. It was worth it though and patience is needed. The look of the pipes alone over stock is worth a little knuckle flesh. Just remember to clean off all the blood completly before starting for the 1st time.
