like the title suggests I'm thinking about ditching my SERT and getting a different tuner. just wondering if anyone has done this and what all is involved, i really don't want to have to take my bike back to the dealer

I swapped an SERT for a Power Vision. No problems. It took me a while to figure how to get the SERT Tune copied to my PV/computer so I could work with it, but everything you need is there... and everything works.
There should be nothing to remove?? Isn't it a box somewhere?? What is wrong with the SERT?? It is one of only 3 flash tuners. Why do ya want to get something else??
There is nothing to remove with the SERT but as far as I have seen there is no stock map to flash back to the bike. You would have to take the bike to the dealer to have them flash it back to stock.
i know its a flash tuner, just don't want to have to pay the dealer $400 every time i do something to my bike, only reason i got it in the first place is the dealer threw it in on the deal. not that I'm against dyno tuning my bike it just sucks to take them back and pay the price of say a power commander if/when i change stuff around

What do you think you'll have with one of the other tuners? A canned map will only take you so far, if you want it dead right it will need tuned. The SEPST has the ability to smart tune, you don't need a dealer, just read the documentation or get the training CD.
What makes you think it'll cost you $400 every time you go to the dealer? Just keep the tuner with the bike for future use. If any changes have to be made to the ECU they have to have it so they can link into it. The SERT is a damn good product.
cause that was the cheapest dealer quote to dyno tune i can get in my area, one dealer quoted me 600 because they had to "drill and tap your new pipe for oxygen sensors" umm no?
I have no experience with the FP3. The TTS and PV2, all you do is plug them in, upload your current tune and save, the load your canned map, and auto tune.
Yesterday I just loaded up my Fuelpac3. Im thinking it's a great novice tuner. You know, stage one anyway. It was simple and worked well on my iPad3. Now I have ability to do a autotune and nice for future diagnostic should it be necessary.
