Default 2 into 1 exhaust

Changing out my exhaust question is can you clean the 02 sensors / they look a light grey in color / they seemed to be working fine when I started but is there something special about cleaning more than just lightly brushing off the surface .

I'd leave them the way they are. Why would you want to clean them?

Those sensors are cleaned every time the engine reaches operating temperature, the exhaust scorching past them being something like 1,500 degrees. I can't see any benefit of taking them off the vehicle to 'clean' them at room temperature!
