Us suspension guys have put together a bunch of options to set your bike up to fit your body (both height and weight!). Do it right and you don't have to give up any substantial ride quality.

Best not to get too "salesy" in this thread, but happy to elaborate if you guys are interested.
When I had 944s, your techs at the Daytona rally in the spring were unable to get them tuned to work with a lighter rider (I weigh 160 lbs). Are you able to do so with your new low version?

How do I do it? By learning how to balance my own bike. No need to have both feet flat cause it's not necessary. Even on inclines. I laugh at you guys that waste so much money with the little suspension travel there is on these bikes. I actually raised mine by putting taller shocks.

But then again im a ride not a poser
Man I can see why you put taller shocks on. At 5'5" I would want to get a little higher so people didn't run over me!!!!!

Like a circus midget? We usually just toss them, but hell...how much for a ride?
Better be worth it. I'm not paying good money to ride no poser.

Has the definition of a short rider been established yet?

I dont know if this would help but here is my set up. 2012 road king with 16.5 pullback handlebar, lowered seat with back rest, #2-#2a ohlins rear shocks and 1" lowered front end. 15K miles and counting.
5'5" tall 165 lbs.

5' 8" with a very short (barely 28") inseam. Bone stock with no issues. Not the easiest to push it back in not so favorable conditions. I had a 2010 Ultra Classic and 2013 Road Glide Ultra that were stock too. Not lowered and had the stock seat.

I did 1500 miles on a SG in November and loved it. I'm 5'7" but had no problem
At all. I'm looking at a RG as the next long distance test ride. I'd do the mini ape mod for sure.

I'm 5'8" with 29" inseam and just switched from a stock height 2010 Road King to a stock height '15 Road Glide Special, and no issues with either bike. Takes some getting used to at first I guess, don't recall, but it probably was pretty quick. Hardest part is backing her up on an incline, so make sure you're in Neutral when you need to push it around in a parking lot, NOT in 1st with the clutch lever pulled in; it does make a difference.

It seems that short is 5' to 5'8" or so. I fall at the second half of that with 28 in seam as well. If you are 5'9" you are not short.
