Default Front fender light ideas

Has anyone removed the front fender light? I have a '12 Road King and I would like to remove the orange fender light without the expense of replacing the fender. I've seen pics with the lense replaced by a chrome cover. Any ideas?

A smoked lens might work. It doesn't eliminate the light, but it blends in well depending on the color of your bike. You can also paint the plastic chrome part of the light housing.

There are indeed alternative covers available, including one with a bar and shield in it. Take a look around your local dealer's showroom.

I went with the smoked lens as well. I smoked my turn signals and it looked odd with the fender light amber. Then the amber reflectors looked odd so I got a spray that is made to smoke lenses and reflectors. I didn't do the reflectors dark but enough that it matches a little better.

I would not only keep it, but upgrade it to an LED fender light. Custom Dynamics makes one that is crazy bright. Use it with a smoked lense and you'll have better visibility to the surrounding traffic. I use a white one in the front and a red one in the rear of my RK.

I use the CD white LED with the bar & shield chrome cover. The LED is real bright and matches the LED passing lamps and headlight.

Ya can also replace the lamp with the Road King fender tip without a lamp.
