Default motor swap question

Will a 96/103 from an '07-08 bolt up in a 03 ultra classic. Not sure if they will bolt the same or if it's different. A buddy lost inner cam bearings and trashed the motor.

the way the tranny attaches, 07 and up are 6 speed issue. Same reason you can't bolt a 6 speed into a 06 or earlier machine

It's not just the bolt pattern, the earlier bike uses external oil pipes between the oil tank and pump, whereas the later engine doesn't use pipes, but internal oilways. The early trans and later engine are just not compatible with each other.

Would it be possible to swap motor and transmission together and then fit?
