do you really think harley is out to have the biggest motor? they'll never beat the boss hoss they haven't been building the twincam for ten tears yet. to me harley isn.t in competition with any one else so if you want something bigger buy it.they are already putting 6 speeds in the new dynas everything else is probably next year

Yeah but, the next generation of potential Harley riders has grown up with Toyata's and Honda's being as popular as GM and Ford. They will have no issues whatsoever with buying a metric cruiser if Harley is too low tech, under powered, or unreliable. Harley doesn't have to compete with Boss Hoss but they should at least be close to the VTX's, V4 Yamahas's, Triumphs and the other big v-twins.

You are right solorider. I could give a number of examples of things that Harley is going to be forced to do (EPA) over the next few years. It 's not going to make the Harley purist very happy. But guys like me, and I think you, who like the Harley but want a more technically advanced bike are going to benefit from the changes too come. Imagine a Harley with superior brakes instead of barely adequate brakes. A Harley with enough power off the show room floor to pass more than one car at a time without having to downshift (I know there are a few, but I mean all of them). When this happens, I'm buying. Steve is obviously sensitive about the Harley mystic. I own a RKC and a VTX 1800. I doubt Steve has owned anything other than Harley's. Because I own both, Steve is wrong, I DO understand and nothing requires an explanation for me. As I reread this post It almost sounds like I'm picking at Steve. In no way whatsoever is that my intention. Again, if offended, I apologize. Safe riding to us all.

After owning all those bikes when was it you went dumb? Bite me? I was suspecious you where a jerk, thanks for comfirming it. Lastly, I see you have been indoctrinated completely, after the hook and line, what did you do with the sinker. As is my policy when conversing on forums and such a person exposes themselve, I no longer read any of their posts. Hope others will enjoy ole Steve's rantings, good by Steve.
