Default Head pipe replacement

I'm trying to decide between the Rinehart slimeline duals & the
Vance & Hines power duals.I already have Rinehart 4'' slipons.
Are there any opinions as to one outperforming the other?I am
kind of leaning towards the Rineharts in the looks department.

Neither are going to be your best performance choice if that is what your going after. If the performance issue is second to looks and sound then I would choose the one that looks best to me. Unless your bike is stage 2 or better you will not notice much of a performance increase over just a decatted stock head pipe. JMO

I don't like the Vance and Hines Power Duals because they restrict the lean angle on the right side. I have not looked at a bike with a set of them that does not have scrapes on the bottom side of the head pipe.

I have had the V&H Power Duals on a 2012 FLHTK Limited and a 2013 Limited. I am an aggressive rider and have never scrapped my Power Duals before a floorboard drags. I beliive the only way you will scrape is if you have lowered shocks and replaced your front fork springs to lower stock height.

In both cases I removed the cat to reduce the heat on my inner right thigh. In both cases I did a stage 1 air cleaner and added a Power Commander which increased performance while reducing heat.

I frequently get compliments on the sound of the Power Duals as htey tend to blend the power pulses to create a nice rumble. Potato Potato is blended but it still sounds like a Harley.

have you looked at the fulsac coated sportpipe? $299 if you send them your pipes.
you use your old heat shields and dont have to use a spacer to move the right floor board bracket out.

'12 Road King w/Power Duals and 4" Rineharts

I read some reviews on both headers - they were good and bad on both. I had the V&H Power Duals on my '12 Road King with 4" RCX-Haust mufflers and I also had 4" Rineharts. The RCX mufflers were louder and somewhat harsh sounding and even annoying after many hours of riding. When I put the Rineharts on, it was more mellow and not quite as loud. Overall the Power Duals w/Rineharts are a good combo. Of course that's my "opinion" and you know the saying about opinions...........

Man, that's a good lookin' motorcycle - why did I sell it?

Rinehart Slimline Duals is what I would go with, & that is my opinion.
