Very nice ride, and that lowered front fender really looks good. I'm gonna look into that. Is there much to it??

I just received my second front fender to do the NativeCustomBagger lowering mod to. Did you weld the lowering bracket on or just bolt it on? I'm leaning towards welding it on and having the fender re-shot with black. Yours looks like it was welded too, but I can't make it out that good.

Mr. Hag, Beautiful bike. Now go get her dirty. Hope it's warm enough up there. Curious, what Gabriel shocks are you using?
The model/kit # for the Gabriel shocks has been covered here several times recently. Try a search and it should come up. I know I told another member just a week or so ago. I don't have the number right in front of me [I'm at work], but its something like 4093 I think....and that comes with the shocks, some of the fittings you'll need and way more than enough of the small 1/8" tubing.

Buy the brackets from native custom baggers for I think $55.00, grind the rivets off the sides of your fender and use a punch to dislodge the stock brackets. Then mount the spacers and new brackets to the studs on your fork legs, place a spacer material on your tire [I used a broken snowmobile clutch belt because it was about 1/2" thick by 1 1/2" wide and flat]...then I just pressed the fender down onto the brackets, flush with the belt/spacer, and plug welded the fender to the brackets.

A little more easy grinding to take the high spots off the welds, then a thin skin of bondo and several hours of sanding before turning it over to a friend of mine who used to work in a body shop...now doing small jobs on the side.

Between the materials [paints/hardeners/bracket] and what I paid my buddy to paint it, I probably have about $275.00 into it. $175.00 of that was my friend's labor....so if you do it all yourself, it's really cheap.

I would agree that it doesn't look that great Except from one angle. When you have a direct side shot with the fairing inline, the windshielf flows up and back at the same angle as the front of the fairing and looks really streamlined. I like the looks from that angle....But it's really the function and how well it works that keeps it on my bike.
