Questions about 2010 parts on a 2014-15
Default 2014-2015 SGS questions?
I currently have a 2010 street glide and thinking trading it for a 2014-2015 SGS...what is salvageable from the 2010 to the new bikes?
- LED headlight (trucklite)?
- seats?
- floorboard inserts?
- Headpipe (Rinehart slimline duals)?
- LRS windshield?
- JRI shocks (i'm guessing nothing changed with the shock mounts)
- The bike is currently married to my power vision...I know I can buy a licence for the new bike....but can the 2010 be married up to a new tuner?
2010 is pretty customized...is it worth the upgrade?

As a sweeping generalisation a stock or near stock bike will be more attractive to a dealer if you plan on trading in. If you are able to swap your add-on parts for the stock parts I personally would do that. You will then have a pile of goodies you can try on your new bike and sell off those that won't fit.

eh, you know I'm cheep.
Dad taught me you save up, then you buy. I live a debt-free life.
What;s it worth to You to take on the expenditure? realistically a $20K hit in Canadia.
of course in a town where a 800 sq ft house is worth a million plus- maybe no big deal.
as a shareholder I encourage you to spend, spend spend.
( want is dealeys doing on pricing with the drop in the loonie?- continued oil price drops are gonna kill the loonie.
turns out the Saudis are running this deal and their extraction to market costs are about $11...so at $50 they make $39...while holding the price below CDN and US fracking costs)
if you do trade- you'll do better in the end to restore the bike to stock condition.
you'd do best though to sell it your self- list it with a real value on the bike and added stuff, but come up with a formula for a buyer...
say I want X dollars as it sits, if you don't want the mufflers (for example) I reduce the price by Y dollars.
