Best Aftermarket Seat

I have the Ultimate Seat on my metric. It was a vast improvement when upgrading from a Mustang Seat. You actually sit in the seat and not on it. Very comfortable, best mod on that bike by far and the wife agrees. Spendy though, I had $750 into the seat, backrest and covers and still no regrets. My Harley had limited options because of its year. I had to go with a Mustang Regal seat and wrap around backrest. It is still much better than the stock seat, no complaints.

I had a couple Mustang sets and although the same style seat, the latest one got uncomfortable after a couple hundred miles whereas the other I had no problem with 700 mile a day rides. My Road King is being overhauled and part of that is a 7 gallon tank which requires a custom built seat. I saw the completed pan yesterday and my Indy did an amazing job incorporating a backrest from a Mustang. The night before an upholsterer was there and quoted $450, maybe $400 for leather. Probably close to a grand into it once all is said and done so sure hoping it will be comfortable....
Can't say any more than that but as others have mentioned, MCC has a great reputation. They just don't do custom seats or I would have taken my pan there as I live pretty close.

I've had two Russell Day-Long seats (in leather - one on a GL1800) - I would certainly look into those LONG before any off-the-shelf saddle.

from experience:
with a corbin classic solo, ride over 500 miles, get off and walk around have a good time and then cruise with friends till bed time get up and hit the road bright an early the next day. Was the seat nice and plush and comfy, Hell no, it was stiff and didnt give much.
with a stock seat reworked to be comfortable,
I would ride about 250 miles, limp around, stretch and be sore from waist down. Grumble, complain, and be sore all over, slept like hell and hated the ride back.
Am I gonna buy another Corbin, Yep!
