ditch all that auto adjustment crap and install the baker attitude adjuster and all your problems will go away. lots of reading on this.
++1 on the Baker attitude adjuster I had it installed on my 2013 Limited when I had cams installed, plus I have the Bully Primary cover so I can adjust it without removing the primary cover.

The OP already has a manual adjuster, but yeah, if he had an 07 or later, the baker would probably be the best bet.
I welded my stock auto adjuster. Nothing wrong with your manual adjuster. Check adjust when ya change oil. I don't think I've actually had to adjust my primary (without being in there for something else) more than 2-3 times in my 25+ years of Harley ownership???
I second, or 3rd stick with your stock manual adjuster, they work fine, and after 20-30k miles you barely have to touch them, I think I have moved mine once in 30k miles, it hasn't needed it.
160K on bike & i have had to adjust my manual primary chain adjuster 3 times in 160k excluding when it was off for engine work.
The original is still in the bike and still going strong
My advice. Dont mess with something that works
On my 12 CVO, i recently installed a 120r, and took out the auto chain adjuster and installed an aftermarket version of a manual tensioner to eliminate over tightening of the primary chain.
The M6 will work very well. My advice? Go ahead and give it a try. All the stuff these guys are talking about that the auto tensioner overtightening is about the HD auto tensioner not the M6. Can't even count how many M6's are out there working just fine.

The Baker would be his best but but as others have mentioned it won't work on the year the OP has.

The M6 sucks on 09 and newer. Makes the chain much to tight. There is some news that Hayden has recently replaced the springs because off all the issues their customers were having.
