Default Any 2 wheeled gliders change to 30 tooth front sprocket

Has anyone on a 2 wheeled glide changed their front sprocket to a 30 tooth? I read the thread on changing on a trike and wanted to know if 2 wheelers still needed to change the belt.
Also, can you share what special tools where needed and any other tips for such a project. TIA

I ordered my 30T sprocket and new belt yesterday and anxiously awaiting them to arrive to install. I will report back when finished. FWIW I ordered the sprocket for a trike and a 1" wide 139 tooth belt.

The sprocket is 60 bucks from kutter hd. You will need a 21/4 socket that comes with a pilot bushing ,and a transmission sprocket lock tool.
I used the stock belt and just slotted the swingarm 3/16s to allow for adjustment, I did this on a 2013 street glide cheap torque mod . There have been numerous problems with some of the 139t belts. I believe the gates poly belt will the one to get they cost around 155.00

The whole deal will cost me about $200. Bought the belt (Drag Specialities) off ebay for $129 free shipping and the sprocket from Surdyke for ~$60. I didn't feel really feel comfortable slotting my swingarm.

You can use the OEM belt if you elongate the slots in your swing arm. It allows the wheel further back.

I put the 68T on the rear and have a 31T to go on the front, just never have got around to doing it. Let's me use the same belt and will let the rear wheel slip back to about it where it was when new.
