Default True duals question

I have the rinehart mufflers and I would like to upgrade to the pipe with the matching true duals. Where is the best place to order just the pipes with no mufflers?

Not sure about just the pipes, but I got my true dua set up from Eastern Performance Cycles. Great customer service and fast and free shipping. Couldnt be happier with them or my pipes!! Give them a call when you start shopping.

If I understand correctly...You have slip ons and now you want true duals. If so, I did the fullsac. www.fullsac.com I haven't installed yet, but will do shortly.

I just took my stock headpipe, cut the crossover out and welded the holes shut, I wouldn't try that unless you're a little mechanically inclined If I had the cash for the rinehart pipes though I'd do it. my dad has the whole Rinehart true dual setup and it sounds awesome!!

I think all Rineharts TD systemscome with the mufflers. I've been told no other slip ons can be matched with their pipes. I have the td's on mine and love them. Cyborg sells the setup for $675. You have to call them for that price though. http://www.cyborgcycles.com/The site says $899 but they sell them for less. The delivery was fast and service excellent. I would just buy the system and sell you mufflers to recoup some of the cost if you want TD's. Hope this helped.

Rinehart sells a slip-on that fits the stock exhaust system. If you later want to upgrade to a true dual system, Rinehart offers what they call Cross Dressers which is just the head pipes. Vance & Hines offers the same which they call Dresser Duals. Both of these are the same diameter as the stock exhaust (1.75") which may suit stock to near stock engines better than the complete Rinehart "True Duals" system which does use a larger than stock head pipe.

Some of us don't like the way the stock heat shields have a gap on the right side pipe under the cam chest. If you take the cost of the full length heat shield from the MOCO and add it to the cost of the FullSac kit, it runs out to be about the same as the Rinehart or V&H true dual head pipes if you shop for a good price. They all work fine, it's a matter of preference, I guess.

plug the openings with chevrolet freeze plugs if you don't/can't want to weld. drive them in about an inch. did mine 4 years ago. cost was $1.50. reinstall the heat shield to hide the cut out piece. just make sure where you cut is round.
