Beautiful sunny day here win west central PA, 50*, and my local dealer is celebrating their 70th anniversary, so I rode over to check out their sale and got some free grub.

I tried on a Magnum tripple vent jacket, and this is probably the best fitting leather I have ever put on. The only problem is the price, even with 20% off it was still close to $400.

Just wondering who makes this for them, I realley don't need to have the HD logo's, but I do want the jacket (for fit and finish)

you won't find a leather jacket just like hd's only without logos. they aren't like helmets where you can buy the same one only with the agv/kbc logo on it. also, most of the hd jackets are made overseas. there are a couple that aren't, but they are few and far between.

a lot of folks recommend fox creek leather, though their jackets don't have the 'bells and whistles' that the hd jackets have. you can also find other 'imported' jackets for a much better price. again, probably won't have the same features.

Does it really matter if it comes from Wo Fat's Chinese factory? If you like it, buy it. But for that money, you can get a horsehide jacket from Hillside Leather. And it'll be pretty much custom made to your size. I love mine. Best jacket I've ever bought, and I have a few.

 

I have the HD FXRG jacket. Good fit & finish and materials. I think I paid $375 in 2010, and don't think I could do better.

FWIW, Whole Foods sources most of its organic produce from China, so what's it matter where your jacket came from?

 

I'm guessing you need to contact Low Bidder Leather Co. Most businesses, including our beloved HD, choose vendors based on cost so as to maintain profit margin. Nothing wrong with that as long as profit is not allowed to gain priority over quality.
