Default CVO rear fender fascia on a SG fender

Okay guys I searched and searched. I read a bunch of post and threads but still cannot come up with the answer.

I want the CVO look on my 09 SG. Can I just add the CVO rear fascia to my stock fender or do I need to change the whole fender as well?

the stock fender has holes in from the light bar, if you keep the stock tail lights and add the cvo fascia not sure how it would look. My kit was a new fender and fascia.

I've seen it done with an aftermarket plate mount covering the holes left from the tail light and turn signal bar. Still have to deal with the stud down near the fender tip. I did the HD kit on mine, no searching for pieces, just plug and play.

i have the cvo fender kit on both my bike and wifes bike. have paul yaffees liesences plate frame. if you use stock fender the plate frame will sit higher due to were the lights are mounted. the cvo fender plate frame mounts lower.

Ok that makes sense. So if I remove my light bar I have to cover the holes.

Thanks I appreciate the help.

There are holes from the light bar and a square cut out where the stock brake light is. I think there is options to cover all that up. But it will look like a cover up. You can have reputable body shop fill in the square and add something like a curved fender huggin license plate mount. Harley offers the whole fender/ fascia and everything else to bring it together for around a grand. Not painted though. You should check craigslist and ebay and even the HD Forums. I got a great deal on craigslist. $ 100 for CVO fender and fascia, ( not my bike color) I bought CVO style bags on Eastern Performance so I had to have some painting done anyway.
