Wrinkled RKC Bag Lids
I have read that alot of RKC owners are complaining about the wrinkled looking bag lids. I tried something today that seems to have worked. I don't know if it is long term cure but they look great now. I cleaned the bags and applied a heavy coating of dressing. Then I set them in front of my wood stove to "bake" . I went back 3 hours later and guess what the leather on the bag lids was as tight as a ducks as% under water. They look better now then when I picked them up at the dealer. I didn't have a real hot fire in the stove but it was nice and warm. I have moved them a little further away and will leave them over night. I don't know if this is a permanent fix but they look good for now.....CJ

What's a hair dryer? j/k... I just wet my hair and hop on the bike.
Ihave a rk custom and have not had any issues at all with saggy bags. I wonder if it is because the bags are different. Maybe those two raised scallops on the lid make a difference? I will keep this info in my mind if they ever decide to sag, thanks for the info.

RE: Wrinkled RKC Bag Lids
along with the wrinkles on the top of the bags. anybody heard of a leather cover for the leather covers. i saw one at a local bike night that covered the hard bags of a road king.
i know it sounds weird to cover a leather cover with a leather cover but it makes sense. but on my right bag from lifting my leg over is starting to get a boot scratches.
