If you are tent camping Elkview Campgrounds has a huge area that is never close to capacity. Reasonable rates and just 6 miles from Sturgis on I-90.

This is my first Sturgis. I only plan to stay a couple of days. Is there much to do before the rally kicks of on the third?

 

Plenty. The week before most of the vendors are there and of course it's a great time to get in the local rides... so many great roads man.
