Default Rush Vs V&H Exhaust

I'm looking for some advice here. I'm trying to decide between the Rush Slash cut slip ons vs the V&H Oval Slip Ons. Either way they will be going on the V&H True dual header pipes. The Rush allows you to switch baffles to obtain the desired sound, has quality chrome and is a little less expensive (Approx $200 less) but I'm not too famliar with the Rush name. The V&H is a well known brand with a lot of history, quality chrome as well and the ovals look great on the RKC. However you are stuck with the sound if you like it or not. I'm looking for any feedback both pro and con.

I vote for the Rush! I have a set for my EGS with the 2.25" baffles in them. The sound is incredible, the chrome is perfect and the overall construction of the muffler is great. For the money you cannot go wrong. I wanted the V&H ovals really bad but they are way to pricey. I went with the Rush mainly because of the price and the ability to change the baffles. I may down size the baffles abit because I think the wife will not like the noise on longer rides, but for $40 why not try a few different sizes. You will love the Rush and with the money you save on them you can pay for part of the true dual headers. Good luck! Bryan

Cheapest place to buy Rush pipes: http://www.mandmcycles.com/

I like the sound but need a little louder. I have the 2.25' baffles and it is not recommended you use the 2.50' baffles in the '07s. May go to the Vance and Hines dual headers to provide a little more volume.

Peace,

I HEARD THE OVALS ARE MORE QUIET THAN THE RUSH. JUST INSTALLED THE RUSH 2.25 AND LOVE THE DEEP RUMBLE THAT THEY GIVE. SOUND IS GREAT YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THESE PIPES. MY 2 CENTS.

I just installed the Rush slip ons with 2.25 inch baffles on my 07 Street Glide and couldn't be happier. The dealer I bought my bike from had a new bike there with V&H ovals on it and he cranked it for me to here and I personally didn't like the sound for me. A friend of mine has Rush slip ons with 2.5 inch baffles on his RK and they sound awesome, that's what convinced me to go with the Rush, no regrets.
