Upgrading a 5-speed trans to a 6-speed?

I'm right behind you in that jackass line. You jumped in there first my man.
Whether you intended it or not, it was you that fired first with your "there are much better ways to spend $3K on a bike with a stock 88". Says you. Sheesh!
If he's keeping the bike long term and he rides lots of miles at 80+ (as I do), a 6 speed starts to make a lot of sense. Wish I'd done it sooner.
And I never made the OP feel foolish - I simply gave him an alternative to look at besides the HD trans.
And while we're at it here, who has more rights - the one with righteous opinion or the one that disagrees?
Jump back froggy, jump back......

I would love a baker 6spdfor my 03. Its not in the budget at the moment. Atleast I don't think. I find myself always looking for 6th. Power is not the issue. Well it is I have 121hp and 123 ft lbs right now but want more of that also. I would really like stock gear 1-5 with a 6th to lower cruising rpm. Then drop my primary to 3.37 to pump up the fun factor.

Admitted? Really? You've GOT to be kidding.
Anyone with at least a double digit IQ and a computer can do the basic research needed to come up with a reasonable idea about which 6 speed will fit their needs. Sheesh!
Baker Drivetrain hides nothing from anyone (one could add an idiot icon here).
I have a 50K mile bike that's going to get a DD6 over the winter. Do you actually think I care what you think of my purchase?
Not hardly.
